Nearly half of American adults have high blood pressure, also known as hypertension.
The prevalence of high blood pressure among Black people in the United States is among the highest in the world, at about 55%.
Many don’t even know they have it or how to get it under control properly.
When Blood pressure is not well controlled, it can lead to serious health complications including:
- Heart attack
- Stroke
- Kidney disease
- Vision problems
- Aneurysm
